Journal Title: Journal MEDICINA STOMATOLOGIĂ - Year 2014, Vol 112, Issue 3
Abstract
Nowadays all types of edentations have more treatment options, among which the prosthetic implant. But to choose the most optimal treatment it is necessary to know and comply with certain requirements. Although controversial, one of the surgical methods - immediate implantation - gets spread use. This study aims to assess and preserve postextractional alveoli by inserting endosseous dental implants immediately after tooth extraction. The study included 24 patients whom were inserted AlphaBio dental implants 131 of varying lengths and diameters. Patients in the two samples have undergone treatments: extraction, implantation and immediate loading; extraction, implantation and delayed loading. The clinical and radiological study has shown that implantation immediately after extraction hasn`t a negative impact on the formation and mineralization periimplantar tissue during osseointegration. The research observed that implantation and immediate loading, immediate implantation and compared to delayed loading, shows practically the same clinical results.
