Impact of JIT on Quality Control Cost: A Sensitivity Analysis
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering Sciences & Research Technology - Year 30, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
Many authors have been developed the models to study the influence of JIT on inventory. On other hand, strategic impact of JIT on quality control cost has not been clear-cut. The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of JIT on quality control by developing a model. The developed model is illustrated though a sensitivity analysis and a numeric example so that more attention could be provided on the most critical input parameters of model. The framework developed in this paper provides a step forward towards better planning for quality under JIT context..
