INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ROOT RESORPTION
Journal Title: Journal MEDICINA STOMATOLOGIĂ - Year 2013, Vol 69, Issue 2
Abstract
Root resorption is a relatively uncommon condition, considering its diagnostic difficulties, and a less discussed topic. So, that’s why we have chosen this topic for the research. In the course of the present study there was performed the analysis of 125 radiograms. Among the mentioned 125 radiograms, there were detected 21 cases of root resorption, including 6 cases (4.8%) of internal root resorption and external root resorption in 15 cases (12%). Thus we conclude that root resorption is a condition that should not be neglected, and for preventing its development to advanced stages, early diagnosis is required, which can be achieved only through careful study of radiological images.
