Issues and Challenges in Distributed Sensor Networks- A Review
Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Computer Engineering) - Year 2015, Vol 17, Issue 1
Abstract
Abstract:Distributed Sensor networks (DSN) is an emerging technology and have great potential to beemployed in critical situations like battlefields and commercial applications such as process management, health care monitoring, environmental/earth sensing, industrial monitoring and many more scenarios. One ofthe major challenges distributed sensor networks face today is security. While the deployment of sensor nodes inan unattended environment makes the networks vulnerable to a variety of potential attacks, the inherent powerand memory limitations of sensor nodes makes conventional security solutions unfeasible. The sensingtechnology combined with processing power and wireless communication makes it profitable for being exploitedin great quantity in future. The wireless communication technology also acquires various types of securitythreats. This paper discusses a wide variety of security, research, computational and design issues along withthe challenges faced.

Challenges and Issues of Cluster Based Security in MANET
Abstract: Mobile ad-hoc networks are a specific kind of wireless networks that can be quickly deployed without pre- existing infrastructures. Even though there are various studies on cluster based security in MANET but t...
A Generalized Study on Encryption Techniques for Location Based Services
Abstract: Location-based service (LBS) is the concept that denotes applications integrating geographic location (i.e., spatial coordinates) with the general notion of services. Examples of such applications include...
Occlusion detection in video sequences
Abstract: An occlusion is the region between two overlapping objects with disparate motion. Detecting these occluded objects is crucial for many of the video processing. The Occlusion detection is decomposed into two ind...
Identity Based Replicated Node Detection and Localization in Wireless Network
Abstract: Wireless networks are more prone towards identity-based attacks, especially the spoofing attacks. These spoofing attacks can further cause many other forms of attacks such as rouge access point attack and...
