Lingual Tuberculosis Clinically Resembling as a Neoplasm -A Case Report

Abstract

Lingual tuberculosis is a very rare case in theareas where tuberculosis is endemic. There arediagnostic difficulties in patients presentingwith non healing ulcer over the tongue due tovariety of clinical appearances, most of whichmay clinically resemble malignant lingual neoplasm.Here we report a case of lingual nonhealing ulcer in a 40 years male which was clinicallydiagnosed as malignant ulcer but histopathologyand ZN staining confirmed the diagnosisof lingual tuberculosis.
