Mislaid character analysis using 2-dimensional discrete wavelet transform for edge refinement
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2013, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
Character recognition is an important tool used for many purposes limited only by imagination, some of them being automatic number plate recognition and digital conversion of texts. In the present methods, edge detection techniques perform well but they are time consuming and have errors if the data provided is not up to the mark. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to minimize those errors and perform the edge detection of characters using 2-dimensional wavelet transform pre-processing

Effect of Co-pesticide on Adsorption- Desorption Process on Agricultural Soils
This work aim is to study the effect of different co-pesticides as Atrazine and propanil on adsorption processes on agricultural soil samples. The co-pesticides as Atrazine on adsorption behavior of metolachlor [2...
On some locally closed sets and spaces in Ideal Topological Spaces
In this paper we introduce and characterize some new generalized locally closed sets known as δ ˆ s-locally closed sets and spaces are known as δ ˆ s-normal space and δ ˆ s-connected space and discussed...
Enhancement of Power System Dynamics Using a Novel Series Compensation Scheme
Phase imbalanced capacitive compensation is a “hybrid” series compensation scheme, where the series capacitive compensation in one phase is created using a single-phase TCSC in series with a fixed capacitor (Cc), a...
