RESEARCHES REGARDING THE HYDRIO BEHAVIOUR OF ERIOBOTRYA JAPONICA (THUNB.) LINDLEY – FAMILY ROSACEA CULTIVATED IN THE GREENHOUSES OF THE BOTANICAL GARDEN IN IASI
Journal Title: Analele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iasi, Serie noua, Sectiunea II a. Biologie vegetala - Year 2007, Vol 53, Issue 0
Abstract
In this paper some of the hydro parameters of the Eriobotrya japonica specie (Thunb.) Lindley are analyzed. The tree is original from Japan and China and it is cultivated for decorative purpose in the temperate climate of the protected spaces. The content of water is constantly kept over 60 g %, and the night/day variation of this parameter are obviously related to the environment conditions. This specie saves well water because of high colloidal force and vacuolar liquid from the mezophyll cells. We consider this specie stabile from a hydro point of view and well adapted to the conditions offered by the Botanical Garden’s temperate greenhouse conditions.
