The anthropomorphic plastic from the cult complexes serving as sanctuaries in the area of the Precucuteni-Cucuteni culture

Abstract

This paper aims to present the anthropomorphic plastic from several Precucuteni-Cucuteni sanctuaries. The anthropomorphic plastic is important for the study of prehistorical cultures as it helps us understand certain spiritual ideas and their spread during that age. By researching the religious concepts from the Cucuteni world, this paper refers to the presence of the Great Goddess or Mother Goddess theme. The anthropomorphic plastic presented below is divided into two categories, round-bosse statuettes and anthropomorphic plates.
