The European Internal Market for Enterprises — Safeness or Threat?

Journal Title: Zarządzanie i Finanse - Year 2013, Vol 11, Issue 4

Abstract

The European Union's Internal Market through the introduction of econo-mic freedoms, the Community legislation and the liberalization process creates specific conditions for enterprises activities. This article aims to analyze the cur-rent implementation of the principles of the common market and its potential influence on enterprises’ value creation. The first part contains an analysis of the effects of the EU internal market and enterprise policy, taking into account the theoretical aspects and the direct effects of the introduction of the Programme 92. Further studies include an analysis of the current situation, trends and strategy of development of the future European single market. The article is concluded by discussing the question if the EU internal market is a source of benefits for enterprises, ensuring the safe business environment, or if it is the source of threats and potential disadvantages for the European businesses.
