THE INTERRELATION OF ECONOMIC TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MOTOR TRANSPORT WITH THE MOTIVATIONAL BACKGROUND OF EMPLOYEES OF A MTE (MOTOR TRANSPORT ENTERPRISE)

Abstract

The subject of research is the interrelation of economic development of motor transport with the motivational background of employees of motor transport enterprises (MTE). The aim of this work is to identify the interrelation between changes in the economic efficiency of functioning of the motor transport of Ukraine and the motivational background of employees of MTE for substantiation of decision-making in the field of management to motivate employees to work. At present the researches aimed at studying the motivation of employees and developing a system of their stimulation without reference to external influences are dominated in the field of personnel management. However, in our view, external factors have a significant influence on the formation of the motivational background of employees. And in this case the staff of motor transport companies is no exception, as the political and economic situation in the country changes the degree of economic efficiency of functioning of these enterprises. For analysis we used such general methodological approaches as system, process and behavioral ones. The method of the empirical studies was also used. The trends of the development of the transport of Ukraine as a whole as well as the development of motor transport enterprises particularly are examined in the paper. The statistical data on the volume of cargo transportation by road and volumes of passenger traffic by bus and motor vehicles in intercity and city service are given in the paper. The basic trends in the development of MTE are identified. The level of wages in transport in comparison with wages in other sectors of the economy as well as in the region is analyzed. It was concluded that the current trends of the development of the motor transport of Ukraine do not contribute to creating a positive motivational background of MTE employees. The results can be used for planning activities to improve material incentive of employees of MTE at the expense of own reserves of an enterprise in order to improve their motivational background and, as a consequence, to increase their productivity .
