Abstract
Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) patient undergoing non-cardiac surgery poses a challenge for the anesthesiologist to manage it efficiently. DCM is usually accompanied by progressive congestive cardiac failure (CCF) and life threatening arrhythmias. The anesthesiologist must have the idea of its haemodynamics, diagnostic evaluations, treatment modalities and more so regarding various drug interactions during anesthesia.
