Needs and possibilities OF identification of hydrogeological parameters for groundwater flow modelling
Journal Title: Biuletyn Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego - Year 2008, Vol 431, Issue 431
Abstract
The paper presents a mathematical description of groundwater flow which includes: water filtration, migration of pollutants and heat flow. It is followed by an overview of recent research advances in identification methods of all the hydrogeological parameters necessary for description of groundwater flow. A new series of identification experiments, which may be applied in a pumping well with observation wells for parameters identification, is proposed.

CORRELATION OF THE UPPER JURASSIC–CRETACEOUS EPICONTINENTAL SEDIMENTS IN SOUTHERN POLAND AND SOUTHWESTERN UKRAINE BASED ON THIN SECTIONS
Detailed micropaleontological investigation of more than 400 samples (150 identified species) from the Mesozoic sediments of southern Poland and southwestern Ukraine was the basis for their correlation. The youngest Meso...
Ascertainment of the geological structure for the Czerwone Bagno Reserve underground water feeding model
The main purpose of the research conducted in the area of Czerwone Bagno Reserve was to determine the geological structure of the area for a hydrogeological model of water supply of the peat bogs. This model will be used...
A FLOW AND TRANSPORT MODEL AS A TOOL FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF GROUNDWATER POLLUTION IN THE VICINITY OF CELSA HUTA OSTROWIEC
The article presents the environmental problem that occurred in the vicinity of Celsa Huta Ostrowiec, where concentrations of trichloroethene and tetrachloroethene in wells were detected. The three-dimensional numerical...
DIAGENESIS OF LACUSTRINE CHALK AND GYTTJA IN HOLOCENE DEPOSITS FROM NORTHWESTERN POLAND
The aim of this paper is to present the diagenetic processes occurring within lacustrine chalk and ooze in Holocene deposits from northwestern Poland. The analysed samples came from the Tarda (Iława Lake District) and Su...
NON-STATIONARY MODEL OF NITRATE TRANSPORT IN AN EXEMPLARY CATCHMENT IN THE MGWB NO. 326 NORTH OF CZĘSTOCHOWA
The paper presents basic assumptions and results of a non-stationary MODFLOW model of nitrate transport in the Kocinka catchment. A method of reconstructing temporally and spatially variable input function of pollution f...
