NEURAL NETWORK APPROACH TO CLUSTERING COUNTRIES BY INDICATORS SPECIFICALLY OF THE FORMATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ECONOMIC INTERESTS

Abstract
A neural network approach to the clustering of the countries of the world is proposed and justified in terms of indicators characterizing of the formation and realization of economic interests. As a tool for clustering, Kohonen self-organizing maps are used, the main advantage of which is two-dimensional visualization. With the help of factor analysis, the main indicators that affect the integral indicator are selected: Gross national income per capita, the Gini coefficient, the share of government spending on education, the total volume of tax revenues, the consumer price index, the net inflow of foreign direct investment, the number of Internet users, a global index of entrepreneurial activity, as well as their weight.
