NEW ALGORTHIM VIA METHOD OF MAGNITUDE TO MAXIMIZE THE PROFIT OF AN FUZZY TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM

Journal Title: International Scientific Research Organization Journal - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 5

Abstract

The objective of Fuzzy transportation problem is to determine the shipping schedule that minimizes the total transportation cost while satisfying Fuzzy supply and Fuzzy demand limits. Transportation Problem (TP) is based on supply and demand of commodities transported from several sources to the different destinations. In this paper a new algorithm for maximizing profit of an transportation problem in fuzzy environment is discussed. By using Method of Magnitude ranking method fuzzy quantities are converted in to crisp quantities. Finally a Numerical illustration is given to check the validity of the proposal.
