NEW APPRAOACHES OF ANTICANCER DRUG

Journal Title: European Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 4, Issue 5

Abstract

Cancer chemotherapy is indeed indebted to microorganism and their product, antibiotics. Since the discovery of the first antibiotics with properties, a lot of research has been focused on isolation, modification, partial or total synthesis as well as mechanism of action, increase the efficacy ,and mean while toxicity, and toxic effect of the drug. Different classes of drug such as Herceptine, Femara, Bevacizumab, Velcade, Gleevac, Jevtana (cabazitab), Lenvima, Rubraca, Imbruvica. have presented effective medication to fight against cancer. The effort is continuing and number of promising drug from varieties of classes are under clinical investigation for future establishment in the cancer. These drug have made a successful impact in field of chemotherapeutics .For most of them, DNA is the molecular target. Some act as DNA intraculators or some prevent DNA repaire among other mechanism of action, they are seen to have. The major disadvantages of these drug though are contanst side effect and toxic effect. When more focus on discovery of new drug with newer scaffold, the urge to discover and modified anticancer drugs with or even wider research can yield newer better drug for clinical use. The review here disscuss the current new drug therapeutics, newer discoveries.
