NEW CROWNOPHANES CONTAINING 2,7-DIOXYFLUORENONE AND 2,7-DIOXYNAPHTHALENE

Abstract
New crownophanes containing 2,7-dioxyfluorenone and 2,7-dioxynaphthalene fragments linked by tri- and tetraethylene glycol linkers have been obtained. The formation of “hostguest”-type complexes upon interaction with paraquat dication was detected by UV-Vis and FAB-MS spectrometry.
