New Efficient Green Methodology for the Synthesis of a Series of Potentially Biologically Active Pyrazoles under Microwave Irradiation
Journal Title: International Journal of Research in Chemistry and Environment (IJRCE) - Year 2012, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
In this work a new effective green methodology has been developed for the preparation of a series of potentially biologically active pyrazoles by the cyclocondensation reaction of different symmetrical as well as unsymmetrical 1,3-dialkyl diketones and 3-ferrocenylmethyl-1,3-dialkyl diketones with hydrazines and their substituted derivatives using microwave irradiation in a CEM discovered microwave oven by using solvent and also under solvent free environmental friendly condition and it was demonstrated that in this technique yields were significantly improved and reaction time was shortened compared to the conventional method.
