Noise Control on Locomotive Driver Workingstation
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2014, Vol 11, Issue 1
Abstract
Traffic safety and transport security are concepts according to which the train traffic and maneuvers must be conducted without danger and risks for the workers, for travelers, goods entrusted to transport, railway vehicles, railway infrastructure and the environment. Exposure to noise from the diesel engine and the locomotive air compressor is a risk factor for the mechanic in the first place because it can affect concentration and decision of the driver. This article sets out measures for prevention and control of noise exposure for workstation driver on a locomotive.

Vibrations of the Elliptical Gears
In the paper we analyze the elliptical gears from the kinematic, dynamic, and of the inlaid torsional vibrations points of view. We study the uni-lobe and bi-lobe elliptical gears. To be out to determine the mechanical p...
A Study on Free Vibration of Visco-elastic Tapered Plate with Clamped Ends
A mathematical analysis is presented here to analyze the free vibration of visco-elastic isotropic rectangular plate. The main objectives of the study are to assist engineers and scientists in designing of structures whi...
The Influence of Perforations on the Surface of a Sound Absorbing Material on the Sound Absorption Coefficient
The paper presents the research on the influence of perforations on the surface of a sound absorbing material on the sound absorption coefficient. The porous sound absorbing material used in this research was made from f...
Linear Motion Profile Generation using a Danaher Thomson Actuator with Ball Screw Drive
A Danaher Thomson linear actuator with ball screw drive is used here to generate vibrations in the 1-3 Hz frequency range. More precisely, the linear motion profile corresponding to the vertical displacements induced und...
Finite Element Analysis of thin plates clamped on the rim of different geometric forms. Part II: The Absolute and Relative Variation of Natural Frequencies
In this paper, according to the natural frequencies resulted from the simulation for 30 vibration mode shapes of rectangular, square, trapeze and parallelogram plates that are analyzed with the SolidWorks program, the ab...
