Nomination ‘kholodets’ in Eastern Podillya dialects.

Abstract
The article demonstrates the analysis of dish ‘kholodets’ nominations in Eastern Podillya dialects as well as etymology of studied nomines. The work traces the lingvo-geographic spreading and area of their usage. Lexical-semantic characteristics are provided and also certain parallels with the nomines of this dish common in other dialect continuums are set, it determines the models and motivational features of nomination ‘kholodets’. It was found out that the representatives of this lexico-semantic microgroup by structure are single-word nomens. Most single-word names are specific lexemes or their derivatives, occasionally they are either analytical names or agreed word collocations. It was found out that the localized token of ‘kholodets’ has not lost its semantics during the century. This is clearly confirmed in the study area of the Eastern Podillya dialects and other dialects. The fixation of nomines in lexicographic sources and scientific intelligence only confirms the activity of the functioning of tokens in the dialect continuum of the southwestern dialect. The general significance of the analyzed token, its active functioning in the linguistic space, specifies varieties of food. Taking into account the fact that the vocabulary of a language is directly related to the material culture of a nation, and the vocabulary, dealing with the food and beverages’ nominations on the basis of wide material is not yet sufficiently analysed, the integral study of the Eastern Podillya dialects is necessary not only in linguistic but also in general theoretical aspects.
