Abstract
The paper presents new records of flies from the family Mythicomyiidae in Poland as well as in Bulgaria, Ukraine (the Crimea) and Iran. Two representatives of this family: Cyrtosia marginata PERRIS, 1839 and Glabellula arctica (ZETTERSTEDT, 1838) were listed as new for Poland. Empidideicus hungaricus THALHAMMAR, 1911 was given for the first time from the territory of Ukraine, and Cyrtosia marginata from Bulgaria. Apolysis szappanosi PAPP, 2005 (Bombyliidae) was found in Poland for the first time and for the first time outside of Hungary. The biology of G. arctica was discussed. All species mentioned in the paper are illustrated with colour photographs.
