NTSH Museum in lviv (1912–1939): Scientific-Fund Work

Abstract
This article based on the analysis of literature and archival sources, followed the main stages of the development and formation of one of the largest museum institutions of Lviv and Galicia to 1939 – Museum of the scientific society named after Shevchenko in Lviv. Dedicated 1912–1920 years – the period from the time when the Museum of the Shevchenko scientific society received a separate room for the museum fund collections became public, the public museum institution, until the end of The First World War and the Ukrainian liberation competitions. The period from 1920 to 1939, which is characterized by a rapid development of different areas of museum work and appearance in the museum structure of the Shevchenko scientific society (NTSh) alongside the existing new museum institutions (the museum of the historical military monuments of the NTSh and Natural history museum of the NTSh in Lviv). Particular attention is paid to one of the main directions of Museum activities – research-stock. This activities describes the difficulties and achievements in 1912–1939 the museum workers in the context of acquisition, inventory, systematization, conservation and protection of the rich and unique, bacause of preservation of the Ukrainian nationalcultural heritage in the collections of museum NTSh in Lviv. Investigated the personal contributions from the museum workers in the museum of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (Oleksy Nazar, Grebenka of Vladimir, Yaroslav Pasternak, Ivan Karpinets, etc.) to the preservation and study of its collections and selections.
