Numerical Analysis of Operation Process of Gas Piston System with Slide for the Assault Rifle of Modular Small Arms System Cal. 5,56 mm
Journal Title: Problemy Mechatroniki. Uzbrojenie, lotnictwo, inżynieria bezpieczeństwa - Year 2011, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present the possibility of using the numerical analysis to describe the operation process of system the gas piston with the slide for the assault rifle of modular small arms system cal. 5,56 mm. The capability of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) software - MSC.visual Nastran system in process of solution dynamic equations of motion of the gas piston and the slide accordance with Newton – Euler’s theory is presented. The multibody model development and boundary conditions implementation are also discussed. At the end the comparison between numerical and experimental results and final conclusion are shown.
