Numerical and analytical solution of the contact problem for an elastic heavy cylinder of finite length

Abstract
Axis-symmetric problem for a solid elastic cylinder of finite length is considered. The cylinder is deformed under its own weight. There are no displacements on the lower edge of the cylinder and no stresses on the upper edge and the lateral surface of the cylinder.
