Numerical Calculation of the A6 Bifurcation in C3 Pipeline in HPP ,,Perućica"
Journal Title: Machine Design - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper presents the results of numerical calculation of A6 bifurcation of C3 pipeline at HPP “Perućica”, which was carried out during the summer of 2007 and spring of 2008, by the team of experts led by Dr. Milorad Miso Buric, a full professor of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica and The head of the Centre for transport machines and metal constructions (CETIM). The calculations were obtained at the critical points of the internal wall of the bifurcation showing that the tension is greater than the boundary of the large elongations for Nioval 47 steel, so it was concluded that there had been cracks in these positions. Indeed, when the protective paint was removed from these places, a large number of cracks were discovered. These cracks were then tested by the Institute of Black Metallurgy from Niksic and The Institute performed its analysis. The aforementioned expert team gave a written recommendation to the management of HPP "Perućica" to perform a reconstruction of the bifurcation, emphasizing that the situation was very critical. In April 2016, Lahmeyer International GmbH, Germany, in its Study of measures and works during the Phase II of the reconstruction for HPP “Perucica”, explicitly required that the reconstruction of the A6 bifurcation be carried out, and that additional surveys include other parts of the pipeline.

Efficiency Analysis of Planetary Gears
By kinematic combinations of toothed pairs with external and internal contacts, we can obtain planetary gears with a considerably improved performance than the corresponding ones with fixed axes, as well as planetary gea...
Efficiency of Planetary Gear Trains as Criterion for Optimal Solution Selection
Efficiency is one of the important criteria for the design and evaluation of the construction quality. Power losses in planetary transmissions consist of losses in the gear contact, losses in bearings, losses in sealings...
Comparative Analysis of Power Transmission Gearboxes with High Gear Ratios
In modern industrial practice, there is a growing need for power transmission gearboxes with high gear ratios. Until a few decades ago this requirement was solved using conventional gear types (cylindrical, bevel, worm a...
Gasodynamic Study of the Intake Route at a Spark-Ignition Engine
This study aims at determining, by experiment, the pressure loss occurring on the intake route of a sparkignition engine with carburettor. For this purpose, a pilot plant was designed for measuring the pressure at variou...
Using Eye Tracking Technology in Product Design Evaluation
A Visual sense occupy a 30 to 40 percent of the human cerebral cortex, and more than 70% of information is collected by vision, leaving less than 30 % for other senses. Having this in mind it is obvious that vision is th...
