Numerical Solution of the First-Order Hyperbolic Partial Differential Equation with Point-Wise Advance
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 4
Abstract
"In this paper, we construct an explicit numerical scheme based on Lax-Friedrichs finite difference approximation to find the numerical solution of first-order hyperbolic partial differential equation with point-wise advance. The differential equation involving point-wise delay and advance models the distribution of the time intervals between successive neuronal firings. We construct higher order numerical approximation and discuss their consistency, stability and convergence. Analysis shows that numerical scheme is conditionally stable, consistent and convergent in discrete L-infinity norm. We also extend our method to the higher space dimensions. Some test examples are included to illustrate our approach. These examples verify the theoretical results and show the effect of point-wise advance on the solution."
Self-Cleaning Solar Panels to Avoid the Effects of Accumulated Dust on Solar Panels Transmittance
In previous experiments, dust accumulation for the solar panels has been investigated for a long period of time which is approximately one year [1]. The experiments have been done in different countries which have climat...
Ectopic Pregnancy with Unusual Location - Diagnosis of Early Angular Ectopic Pregnancy: A Rare Case
Angular pregnancy is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy with diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas in which the gestational sac is implanted in the lateral angle of the uterine cavity. It should be distinguished from inters...

Studies on the Structural, and Hardness in Bis Glycine Maleate Crystal
A single crystal of bis glycine maleate have been grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation method by optimizing the growth parameters within a period of 45 days. From the x-ray diffraction the crystal was found to...
Neural Network based Fingerprint Classification
This paper introduces a new approach of fingerprint classification system based on ANN. Most automated fingerprint identification system uses prior classification of fingerprint using minutiae as feature. But in such met...
