Nutrition disabled child – awareness of parents in choosing groceries

Abstract

The article presents the role played by properly balanced diet in the life of a disabled child. Attention was drawn to the problem of obesity of disabled children physically and intellectually. Most common problems associated with nutrition have been caracterised and examples of how to solve them have been proposed. It describes the basic principles of rational nutrition and emphasizes the importance of the selection of food products to the individual needs and preferences of a disabled child.
