Abstract
The article dedicated to the peculiarities of «Motley Fairy Tales» by V. F. Odoevske contemplated as an ensemble. The author comes to the conclusion that the point of keen interest to the writer in this cycle is inner emotions of an individual and the problem of the conscious and the unconscious. The fairytales cohere by the theme of earthliness that is illustrated by various true-life stories. Dollishness, sleep and aloofness turn out to be the principal motifs of the cycle.
