O evaluare a productivităţii totale factoriale

Abstract
Performanţele Modelului de dezvoltare est-asiatic au suscitat controverse în comunitatea academică, fiind atribuite statelor, pieţelor şi factorilor socioculturali. Articolul cuprinde o evaluare comparativă a ultimelor două generaţii de submodele, grupul ASEAN-4 şi China, cuantificând şi interpretând productivitatea totală a factorilor (PTF) cu ajutorul Modelului lui Solow. Rezultatele arată că înainte de începutul mileniului acumularea de capital a constituit sursa lor majoră de creştere. Ulterior creşterea condusă de progresul tehnic în ASEAN-32, respectiv de capital în economiile cu industrializare decalată, China şi Filipine. Principalele diferenţe dintre cele două submodele constau în nivelurile ratelor de creştere economică şi a contribuţiei progresului tehnic, puternic accelerate în China de tranziţie şi integrarea în economia globală. Pentru ASEAN-4 valorile medii neglijabile sau nule ale PTF din anii ’90 sugerează existenţa unor vulnerabilităţi structurale care transpar în cursul crizei financiare asiatice. Revirimentul din criză al ASEAN-3 este condus însă de progresul tehnic.
