O obecności poezji brazylijskiej w Polsce: Carlos Drummond de Andrade

Journal Title: Postscriptum Polonistyczne - Year 2018, Vol 21, Issue 1

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the position of Brazilian poetry in the Polish literary system using the examples of translations of poems by Carlos Drummond de Andrade. A library query has proved him to be the Brazilian poet whose works are most frequently translated into Polish. However, he remains little known in Poland, which results from both: lack of the representative publications in the mainstream and the quality of translations.
