ОБ АКТУАЛЬНОСТИ ЭСТЕТИЧЕСКИХ ИДЕЙ Н. В. ГОГОЛЯ

Abstract
N. V. Gogol, the same as A. S. Pushkin was not only an artist, but also an excellent literary critic, deep and original theoretician in the field of aesthetic issues. His characteristics of creative works of various writers (M. V. Lomonosov, G. R. Derzhavin, I. A. Krylov, A. S. Pushkin, M. Y. Lermontov, etc.) are the evidence of the subtlety of Gogol’s attitude, the unusually precise perception of art, and the breadth of historical, literary and aesthetic understanding. Gogol’s thoughts about the word, lyricism, music, painting, architecture, theater, laughter and poetry were ahead of his time. Gogol’s concept of art is universal. It is also possible to establish many typological intersections and parallels with Russian and Western European aesthetics. However, the theoretical views of N. V. Gogol, his artistic and aesthetic attitude, which were formed under the influence of many factors, are distinguished by its uniqueness and integrity, thanks to which they remain always relevant.
