OBJECT AND SUBJECT OF DIDACTICS IN THE DISCUSSION OF THE MODERN SOCIO-CULTURAL SITUATION

Abstract

The article deals with the object and subject of the science of pedagogy and their correlation with the object and subject of didactics in the genesis of its development. The conducted theoretical and methodological analysis of the works of domestic and foreign scholars according to the subject of research allowed to state that the development of domestic pedagogical science occurs in a new socio-cultural situation. Therefore, it is logical that a modern interpretation of the object and the subject of didactics as a section of pedagogy, which studies the theory of education and training, requires a significant refinement. It is connected with the tendencies of development of pedagogical science: orientation on the value of the individual, its dignity; awareness of each level of education as an organic component of the system of continuous education; the development of information and telecommunication technologies (ICT), the transition from contact to discotheque type of educational systems; influenced geopolitics on education; humanistic and axiological orientation of modern education. Consequently, the scientific body of didactics is rightfully correlated with the values, composition, structure and functions of modern scientific knowledge. The ambiguity of the conceptual apparatus of didactics is due to the integrative nature of its object.
