Abstract
Badania dotyczące relacji życia społecznego wobec zdrowia i choroby są klasycznym tematem rozważań socjomedycznych zarówno w Polsce, jak i na Zachodzie. Celem tekstu jest ukazanie genezy socjologicznego podejścia do omawianej problematyki w ramach socjologii ogólnej oraz socjologii zdrowia, choroby i medycyny. Intencją tych rozważań jest także dokonanie krótkiej charakterystki i interpretacji modeli badawczych stosowanych w projektach ukierunkowanych na analizę wpływu zmiennych biomedycznych i socjokulturowych, wpływających na kształt zachowań w zdrowiu i chorobie.
