Obturating Materials Present and Past: A Review

Abstract
Importance of obturating materials is indispensable in Endodontics. Formation of a hermetic seal during obturation of root canal is pivotal in successful outcome. A number of obturating materials are available presently including basic to highly advanced materials. Gutta percha with sealer is the most versatile obturating material. This article briefly covers the obturating materials along with their present status in today’s Endodontic practice.
