Ocena funkcjonowania w Polsce przepisów ustawy o odwróconym kredycie hipotecznym

Abstract
Equity release type financial services are a relatively new solution in Poland, borrowed from financial markets of other countries. The opinion describes the functioning of two types of services – a reverse mortgage and a senior credit, existing in Europe and throughout the world. The authors present the Polish legal basis as well as an assessment of statutory provisions concerning the reverse mortgage. However, currently banks in Poland neither offer such mortgage in their offers, nor they have an intention to introduce it. A reason of that is an increased banks’ investment risk as well as a number of demographic and social variables. The authors described some solutions which could activate financial market in that area.
