Ocena możliwości wtryskiwania kompozytu WPC w produkcji elementów wyposażenia wnętrza autobusu w oparciu o symulacje numeryczne procesu

Abstract

Examples of wood polymer composites (WPC) used in the automotive industry tend to looking for areas of possible applications in public transport vehicles (buses, trolleybuses, etc.). Practical characteristics of these materials, including the ability to recycle, good mechanical properties and environmental aspects of their using contributes to a growing interest in the group of these materials. Each project of a new product must be preceded by analyzes, including producibility assessment and accounts and expertise in the field of manufacturing technology. Numerical simulations of technological processes have huge role in recent time. The research presents the numerical analysis of WPC composites injection moulding process to produce the chosen grip mounted inside the bus. The analysis was performed in the commercial Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2013 code. Mathematical model of the WPC composite properties were developed. The material tests and simulations were performed for WPC based on polypropylene matrix (Moplen HP648T) with 20% of wood fiber. Results of simulations for WPC injection moulding process and pure PP were compared.
