Abstract
The following paper concerns operating parameters of a single bucket tracked excavator that might be used in on-line estimation of the rollover stability of the machine. These parameters are often utilized in development of operator assistance systems algorithms. Manner in which they are defined might have indirect influence on safety and efficiency of excavators. Nowadays, there are four parameters most commonly used in operator assistance systems development. All of them have been presented in the article. Advantages and drawbacks of each one have been discussed.
