Octreotide LAR in neuroendocrine tumors - a summary of the experience

Abstract
Neuroendocrine tumors are a rare and heterogeneous group of neoplasms. Most of the patient is diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic disease and curative surgery is rarely an option. Somatostatin analogues have been shown to control symptoms and the growth of well-differentiated metastatic neuroendocrine tumors. One of the treatment option is oc-treotide LAR.
