Abstract
Being indebted to the thought of R. Garrigou-Lagrange, this article shows the way of cleansing human souls which allows them to enter into a new stage of spiritual life. It concludes that such a cleansing requires from the souls a greater love for God and a disregard of themselves. Such an effort seems to be worthy of being made even in opposition to the promises of the world, since it guarantees them the experience of God who transcends the world.
