Odpowiedzialność żołnierzy Polskich Kontyngentów Wojskowych w świetle międzynarodowego prawa humanitarnego konfliktów zbrojnych
Journal Title: Zeszyty Naukowe Akademii Sztuki Wojennej - Year 2009, Vol 2009, Issue 3
Abstract
Contemporary International operations have a peaceful character and contribute to the building of international security and common order. Thus their purposefulness is beyond doubt. However, it is necessary to prepare countries appropriately to participate in such missions so that through their activities they can really contribute to peace building. The key issue is to prepare soldiers participating in such missions to recognise and respect international humanitarian law of armed conflicts during their mission. Increased in recent years participation of Polish Armed Forces in international operations makes us consider probable consequences of actions against international law committed by Polish soldiers during their mission.
