Abstract
Anaemia is a clinical condition that results from an insufficient supply of healthy red blood cells to oxygenate the body's tissue adequately; results in hypoxia. It is a deficiency in number of erythrocytes, the quality of haemoglobin and or the volume of packed RBC's. Iron deficiency anaemia is a condition occurring due to decreased haemoglobin synthesis. Adolescence is a crucial developmental period.
