Abstract
The article presents the characteristics of possible hazards during fire-dangerous activities illustrated by the example of Liquid Fuel Oil Transshipment Base in the Northern Port in Gdańsk. The source of failure and the impact of dangerous phenomena in consequence of explosion or fire is also discussed. The scope of procedures and requirements of safety and the way of alerting employees are presented.
