OMURGA YARALANMALARINDA ÖNEML‹ B‹R MORB‹D‹TE NEDEN‹: ÜST SERV‹KAL OMURGA TRAVMALARI

Abstract
Trafik kazalar› ve yüksekten düßmeler; travma nedenleri içinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Türkiye’de travma nedenleri aras›nda motorlu araç kazas› % 49 ve düßmeler %3 6.5 oran›ndad›r. Ancak travma sonras› hastalar›n sa¤l›k merkezlerine nakli s›ras›nda üst servikal vertebralar›n stabilizasyonunun güçlü¤ü morbiditeyi art›rmakta ve hastalar tetrapleji veya parapleji ile karß›la- ßabilmektedir. Bu kazalar sonucunda hastalar›n % 32’sinin tetraplejik, % 68’inin paraplejik oldu- ¤u bilinmektedir. Erißkinlerde servikal vertebra k›r›klar›n›n yaklaß›k % 25-35’i ilk üç vertebraya aittir. Üst servikal travmada nörolojik yaralanma oran› da % 45-60 dolay›ndad›r. Hekim yönünden bak›ld›¤›nda da travma hastas›n›n de¤erlendirilmesinde servikal bölgenin en çok gözden kaçan yaralanma bölgesi oldu¤u unutulmamal› ve koruyucu hekimlik için gereken özen gösterilmelidir.
