Abstract
The article provides extensive information on the meaning of the digital libraries and catalogs. It considers the positive aspects of creating electronic catalogs, as well as their gradual introduction into the catalog system of state libraries. The article also substantiates the necessity of further efforts carried out in this area to improve the activities of the library services sector, as well as creating opportunities for the world community to use the rich library funds of Azerbaijan through unified electronic catalogs.
