ON THE ISSUE OF RATIONAL INTERACTION OF RAILWAY AND WATER TRANSPORT IN THE PROMOTION OF MULTIMODAL CARGO TRAFFIC

Abstract

This article highlights the importance of the multimodal transport and technological infrastructure of the South of Russia and the features of the modern operation of the southport transport systems. The most important directions of multimodal cargo flows in the system of international transport corridors are determined. A voluminous analysis of multimodal transportation to the port stations of the North-Caucasian Railway has been carried out. When delivering cargo at the North Caucasian Railway Range along the North-South and Trans-Siberian transport corridors, priority directions for organizing multimodal transportation of transit and export-import cargo have been identified. The main tasks and solutions for efficient infrastructure development of multimodal transport hubs in the region are presented, also taking into account the solutions of logistic-oriented tasks.
