ON THE PROBLEMS OF LEGALIZATION OF EUTHANASIA IN THE COUNTRIES OF EUROPE

Abstract
The scientific article is devoted to the problem of legalization of euthanasia in the countries of Europe. Euthanasia is studied as the right of the fourth generation, its legal and moral aspects. The law of many European countries is analyzed concerning the regulation of the euthanasia procedure, its features and main disadvantages are revealed. Information on the state of the existing rules of euthanasia in Europe is given. Also, a number of countries in which euthanasia has been legalized, in particular, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, have been investigated. Attention was also paid to countries where de jure law does not stipulate the right to euthanasia, but de facto it is used (Sweden, Great Britain) and countries where euthanasia is a criminal act.
