On the Production of Nonseparable Solutions of Linear Partial Differential Equations
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN MATHEMATICS - Year 2015, Vol 11, Issue 1
Abstract
A particular means of producing nonseparable solutions to a linear partial differential equation from given separable solutions to the same partial differential equation is exposed and extended. The method, involving symmetry operators, is straightforward, requiring only basic partial differentiation. Examples are presented for important standard second-order linear partial differential equations, with particular attention being given to Helmholtz equations, for which previously known ad hoc solutions are derived within the current methodology. Although the examples presented are restricted to second-order linear partial differential equations, the method is developed in sufficient generality to cover all linear partial differential equations and to make comparison with previous work meaningful. Indeed, comparison with previous work enables the development of certain novel results.

A Modified Newton-type Method with Order of Convergence Seven for Solving Nonlinear Equations
In this paper, we mainly study the iterative method for nonlinear equations. We present and analyze a modified seventh-order convergent Newton-type method for solving nonlinear equations. The method is free from second d...
The Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space Method for Solving System of Linear Weakly Singular Volterra Integral Equations
The exact solutions of a system of linear weakly singular Volterra integral equations (VIE) have been a difficult to find. The aim of this paper is to apply reproducing kernel Hilbert space (RKHS) method to find th...
Kenmotsu pseudo-Riemannian manifolds
In this paper, we study some properties of Kenmotsu manifolds with pseudo-Riemannian metrics. We prove that this kind of manifolds satisfying certain conditions such as R(X; Y ) R = 0;R(X; Y ) S = 0 are Einstei...
Thermosolutal convection in a rotating couple-stress uid
In this paper we study the nonlinear Lyapunov stability of the conduction-diusion solution of a rotating couple-stress uid, in a layer heated and salted from below. After reformulating the perturbation evolution equation...
Solutions and comparison theorems for anticipated backward stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitz generators
This paper is devoted to solving multidimensional anticipated backward stochastic differential equations (anticipated BSDEs for short) with a kind of non-Lipschitz generators. We establish the existence and uniqueness re...
