On the Role of Large Nuclear Gravity in Understanding Strong Coupling Constant, Nuclear Stability Range, Binding Energy of Isotopes and Magic proton numbers – A Critical Review
Journal Title: Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications - Year 2019, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
With reference to our earlier published views on large nuclear gravitational constant Gs, nuclear elementary charge es and strong coupling constant αs ≅ e/es, in this paper, we present simple relations for nuclear stability range, binding energy of isotopes and magic proton numbers. Even though ‘speculative’ in nature, proposed concepts are simple to understand, easy to implement, result oriented, effective and unified. Our proposed model seems to span across the Planck scale and nuclear scale and can be called as SPAN model (STRANGE* physics of atomic nucleus).

Clustering aspects in 20Ne Alpha-conjugate Nuclear System
The clustering aspects in alpha-conjugate nuclear system 20Ne has been investigated comparatively within microscopic and macroscopic approaches of relativistic mean field theory (RMFT) and quantum mechanical fragmentatio...
Radiochemical Separation and Measurement by Mass Spectrometry with Magnetic Sector with Inductively Coupled Plasma source (ICP-SFMS) of Plutonium Isotopes in Soil Samples
The aim of this work is twofold: to optimize the radiochemical separation of Plutonium (Pu) from soil samples, and to measure the Pu concentration. Soil samples were prepared using acid digestion assisted by microwaves;...
Development of Silicon Sensor Characterization System for Future High Energy Physics Experiments
The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) is one of the general purpose experiments at the Large hadron Collider (LhC), CeRN and has its tracker built of all silicon strip and pixel sensors. Si sensors are expected to play extreme...
Third Harmonic Generation of a Short Pulse Laser in a Tunnel Ionizing Plasma: Effect of Self-Defocusing
Third harmonic generation of a Gaussian short pulse laser in a tunnel ionizing plasma is investigated. A Gaussian short pulse laser propagating through a tunnel ionizing plasma generates third harmonic wave. Inhomogeneit...
Enhancement in the Photoluminescence Properties of SiO2:Ge Embedded in a Polymeric Matrix
Polymer films of styrene butadiene copolymer (SBC) mixed with SiO2:Ge powder were successfully obtained by the drop casting method. The SBC concentration (in chloroform solution) was 10%w/v and the SiO2:Ge powder was mix...
