OPERATIONAL SAFETY OF AMMUNITION - SELECTED EXAMPLES OF FOUND DEFECTS
Journal Title: Problemy Techniki Uzbrojenia - Year 2019, Vol 149, Issue 1
Abstract
Ammunition, as a crucial product for the country defence, is under special supervision in the process of production and use. Its safe use during the service life is a basic requirement that has to be met. However, despite such strict requirements, there are cases of non-compliance of ammunition specimens with the requirements of technical documentation, which may cause their uncontrolled activation. The article presents some selected examples of such defects found during diagnostic tests. Moreover, the consequences of admission of these ammunition specimens for the use are discussed.
