Optimal Design of DC Electromagnets Based on Im-posed Dynamic Characteristics

Abstract

In this paper is proposed a method for computing of optimal geometric dimensions of a DC electromagnet, based on the imposed dynamical characteristics. For obtaining the optimal design, it is built the criterion function in an analytic form that may be optimized in the order to find the constructive solution. Numerical simulations performed in Matlab software confirm the proposed work. The presented method can be ex-tended to other electromagnetic devices which frequently operate in dynamic regime.
