OPTIMISATION OF CHANNEL SHARING STRATEGIES IN HIERACHICAL CELLULAR SYSTEMS USING QUEUING
Journal Title: International Journal of Computer Science and Management Studies (IJCSMS) www.ijcsms.com - Year 2011, Vol 11, Issue 3
Abstract
The primary goal of future cellular mobile communication networks is to provide efficient and cost effective services to mobile users under all environments. The major issues that affects the quality of service and performance in wireless communications systems is scarcity of resources. Hence, efficient resource allocation is prime concern in order to improve the performance of cellular networks. Two-Tier cellular system is considered to increase the channel utilization by sharing channels between two tiers. In this paper a Hybrid Channel Allocation (HCA) strategy for channel allocation and queuing technique is applied to hierarchical cellular network in order to enhance the performance of the system. The hierarchical cellular system helps better utilization of radio spectrum and application of queuing technique further increases efficiency of the system by reducing call blocking and dropping and by increasing number of users in the system.

ANALYSIS OF CLIQUE BY MATRIX FACTORIZATION AND PARTITION METHODS
In real life clustering of high dimensional data is a big problem. To find out the dense regions from increasing dimensions is one of them. We have already studied the clustering techniques of low dimensional data sets l...
ON-LINE ANALYTICAL PROCESSING (OLAP) ON NETWORKS
We propose a framework for efficient OLAP on networks with a focus on the most interesting kind, the topological OLAP (called “T- OLAP”), which incurs topological changes in the underlying networks. Topological OLAP oper...
Measurement of Reusability Ratio of Software Module by Using Pattern Based Metrics
There is no doubt that reusability of software modules play very important role in software development that not only reduces the resources, but also reduces effort, time and cost that are required during software develo...
Criticality Analysis of GTPPS
The paper is concerned with the study of criticality analysis of components of Gas Turbine Power Plant Systems (GTPPS) and the failures occurring in the plant. Failure mode and effect and criticality analysis (FMECA) is...
A Recovery Method for Greedy Routing Protocols in Web Communications
Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) protocol is an appropriate and the most well-known routing protocol for high mobile vehicular ad-hoc networks. The protocol includes two routing modes, the greedy mode and the re...
